Chiropractic care is more than just the spine.
It’s well established that chiropractic care helps out tremendously with low back pain, neck pain, injury management, and others. Chiropractors are, actually, the experts in conservative musculoskeletal care. No other profession is better qualified to manage problems involving the spine, as long as it is not a surgical case.
What’s not as well kno
wn is the impact that chiropractic care has on the nervous system. Every time you get adjusted, the nervous system receives signals from the spine. Spinal adjustments light up the brain, and new research from New Zealand shows these signals to the brain on electroencephalography, or EEG.

It is interesting to see this type of research. This is the kind of science that helps to explain why, after getting chiropractic care, people see problems distant to the spine clear up. These are problems like migraine headaches and dizziness, which are actually a good fix with chiropractic care. Other neurological signs and symptoms that tend to clear up with chiropractic care (not every time though!) include stomach ulcers, kidney infections, stress and overall well-being, and immune disorders.
