Wellness is Taking an Active Role in Your Health…
I was reading a friend’s blog today, and one of the phrases in there struck a nerve in me (so to speak.) This blog entry was done by Carmine Carotozzolo, DC, who is a chiropractor in Woodbridge, VA.
He says that “Wellness is Taking an Active Role in Your Health.” And, he asks the question, “Do you have an acute awareness of your health?” These are simple concepts, but they are profound concepts, and amazingly, hardly anyone takes the initiative to better their own health. Health is not just letting your body do its thing, waiting for it to heal itself and correct itself. Health is taking charge of your own body, to give it the proper stress for it to grow, and the proper nutrients for it to use to build. Health is taking the initiative to exercise, set goals, eat right, and to rest properly. To do those four things, it’s important to have an acute awareness of your own health. The kicker is that nobody is going to do it for you. Nobody is going to run a mile for you. Nobody is going to make the right food decisions for you. Nobody is going to set your goals for you. Unless you are in the army…
Sometimes you need a little help along the way. Sometimes you need a chiropractor to help you if you aren’t moving right, or you aren’t feeling well. There’s a chiropractor in St. George for you, and there’s a chiropractor in Woodbridge for you.

Patients who take an active role in their health care are far healthier than those who don’t.
