Do you Value your Health More than Your Insurance Company Does?

Home» Cost effective » Do you Value your Health More than Your Insurance Company Does?

How much you value your own health is a personal choice.  Do you just do what your insurance company tells you to do, or do you take the initiative to improve and maintain your health on your own terms?

This video sums up our office policies for insurance in our chiropractic practice in St. George.  If your health coverage is reasonable, we’ll gladly help you with your insurance billing.  If your chiropractic health coverage is controlled by a ham-fisted and controlling insurance bureaucracy, who refuses to allow the necessary care you need, we may not choose to deal with them at all.  We don’t do what the insurance company thinks you need.  We do what is best for you, and your own personal values and health goals.  For some, this is getting out of pain. For others, this means receiving regular chiropractic care to help retrain supporting muscles and ligaments to keep you moving well, functioning to you full potential.

For whatever reason, some of our healthiest and happiest patients in our practice are also the ones who take the initiative to pay for their own care out of pocket.  They might even have some degree of coverage through their own health insurance policy, but they save that up for a true emergency. They take care of themselves on their own terms.  They also recognize the value of, and the importance of other health-positive activities like choosing locally grown, healthy foods, regular exercise, life-long learning, goal setting, and healthy relationships with family and community.  The insurance company doesn’t pay for those things either.

You are the steward of your own health.  You and your family must decide for yourselves what is best for your health and well being. Your doctors can only provide guidance for your health, and apply skilled corrections to help you stay on your course.  Your insurance companies can only help you in times of catastrophe. But, to grow well away from a broken health system and your own bodily emergencies, you have to take your own initiative.

Insurance companies keep shelling out big dollars for covering up pain with drugs, when it costs far less to treat the real problems with preventative chiropractic care.
